You know the old saying... "Time flies when you are having fun" and you know Hoity-Toity we are all about fun !!

In the last week we have been a several local papers. FOCUS Magazine talked about the shop and all the quirky & unique items we have. As well as the local artist we feature , George Buigas who does recycled art out of license plates....The Lake Gazette featured us as the new comers to the City of Tavares "America's Seaplane City" and all the amazing events taking place in March  .

The shop had its official ribbon cutting by the Tavares Chamber of Commerce  this event was on February 28th. Cocktails & wonderful treats from the local restaurants were served.

The shop changes on a daily basis . Treasures are sold & new ones are brought in . Here is  small sampling of the shop .......................

It's Been a Week !!!

We have been open for 1 week and what a week it has been !
 Needless to say we are touched by the support we have received by our friends, customers, neighbors and just all around awesome City we are in . This 1st week the shop has  taken a new look, on a daily basis as our customers find treasures they must take home ! And we love to bring new and unique finds .

The Hoity-Toity Building is also home to Bonnie Whicher Photography , Bonnie is a very talented and accredited photographer. At any given time Bonnie is in the studio photographing her
 Hoity-Toity subjects. Models, celebrities and the cutest babies ...

Our new shop has opened in DownTown Tavares , we are very excited to be in America's Seaplane City.... Hoity-Toity Mercantile has the most  elite  dealers in the area, all of which take great pride in the treasures they bring into the shop.  We are all about having the most unique finds in Florida !

We look forward to sharing from time to time stories, pictures and just good all  updates from our Hoity-Toity world....... We are Hoity-Toity, but we are not STUFFY !

The 2012 has started with a bang... and we are just loving every minute . The shop is packed, stacked and ready for the season . It  looks great and its  ready for the big weekend ahead with the Rennigers Extravaganza  on January 2oth, 21st & 22nd.....As well as a familiar shop loved by all When Pigs Fly Again is opening up this weekend in Mount Dora  and we are excited about an old favorite shop that we all love !   ( Remember to mention that you follow us on facebook or the blog and we have something special for you )....... Hoity-Toity Hunting in the Lone Star State !

We just return from a little huntin' trip in Dallas, Tx... the Lone Star State. There is something to be said about hunting for treasures in the state that everything is bigger !

During our Holiday Hunting trip we found some pretty wild goodies. For instance  casket plates, yes caskets as in RIP (  we are thinking of upcycling these into mini writing boards ), bait Buckets, a very vintage canteen ( this canteen has some miles on it ),medical instruments ( scarey & large ones ),  burlap bags from England dated 1963, several vintage lucite handbags...... and oh so so so many more wild& unique finds.. As we unpack the 3 large boxes ( I think the UPS man may have gotten a hernia from this delivery, sorry ! ) we will post pictures and share our treasures....
